A beautiful Shropshire campsite
By the Wood is nestled between Church Pulverbatch and Wrentnall on the Shropshire Way and Marches Way walks. It’s an ideal location if you enjoy exploring local country walks and bird watching, or sitting back and unwinding in the peaceful countryside surrounded by wildlife.
With hard-standing and grassed pitches as well as brand-new glamping pods to enjoy, it’s a fantastic place to relax in nature. Walk through the wood Gary and Nicky planted with support from the Woodland Trust (1700 trees!) and find all the carved wooden characters hidden on the path.
Find out about the local area from the info-shed, or let the dog play in the enclosed dog run. Gary and Nicky have really thought of everything and would love to welcome you to a really special Shrewsbury camping and glamping experience.

We do not allow group bookings or multiple family bookings.
The Red Lion pub is 0.6 of a mile away. Alternatively it is a 10 mile walk over the Long Mynd to Cardingmill Valley at Church Stretton.
We welcome individual walkers or cyclists who’d like to pitch their one- or two-person tent. Our rate is £15/night per person or £20/night per person with electric.
You can park your car with your tent, caravan or glamping pod.
To provide all our guests a peaceful stay we do not allow visitors on site.
Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome. There’s also an enclosed dog run for our campers and guests.
Very good Wifi is available across the site.
